It’s not a hard process to have a functional kitchen but the most important factor is the kitchen design. The kitchen should be designed properly from the start. Here are some rules for a well designed kitchen:
1. The cooking area should be in very close proximity to the kitchen sink. Likewise, the refrigerator should be in close proximity to the stove. To stack dirty dishes easily, then the sink should be near the dishwasher. You can stack narrow shelves along a wall for storing mugs and bowls.

2. For a comfortable kitchen, installing small knobs near the sink is a must to hold towels and washrags. It’s better for you to install a dark-grey toned marble top in the centre of your kitchen in order to enjoy having coffee or meals in it. One of the best ways to add life to your kitchen is to apply a fresh coat of paint or install new designer wallpaper.
3. You don’t have enough money and want to update your existing wooden kitchen cabinets and cupboards, just add a new coat of paint in a funky color like lime green. The great idea to grant your kitchen a brand-new look is to change your old countertop with new granite one.
If you want another cheap solution to give your kitchen a new look, then you can get a concrete countertop as they are cheaper than granite and quartz countertops and they can be painted in various colors and finishes to blend with the interiors of your kitchen.

5. No one can ignore the big role of lighting in any kitchen. To get functionality and aesthetics together in your kitchen, then you will need to use task lighting and ambient lighting in your kitchen.
